**PLEASE NOTE: BF20 upgrades come with Nema23 closed loop motors. It does not matter what option of motor is selected, the pricing will not change. An option must be selected from the Motor selection drop down but it will not affect the price or change the 4.5nm Nema23 motors we will send out.
 
Designed and made right here in Australia, our engineering team have produced some CNC upgrade kits for popular manual milling centers and VMC machines.
 
Owning a mill can allow you to do some incredible things in some tough materials like alloys and steels but sometimes part complexity can make the process of manufacturing a challenge. This upgrade allows you to make extremely precise and complex parts with your existing rigid manual mill taking your production capabilities to the next level.
 
The kit includes
Plate assemblies for the CNC upgrade made from aluminium
SFU2005 Ballscrews and associated parts required for the assembly.
Nema34 Closed loop stepper motors + drives + Power supply

Mill Model
Choose the model of mill you would like an upgrade for. We will be expanding this list over time as we procure more machines to R&D. If you have a different model of mill and would love a CNC upgrade for it, send us a message to determine the process for us to be able to create an upgrade.

HM48, MH28V, HM46*
 
Motor orientation
Choose whether or not the X axis motor is on the right hand side or left hand side of the machine. This option has been included for those who may have their mill mounted in a particular location that may prohibit the installation of the upgrade on one side. 
 
Extra things you will or may require if choosing None / BYO controller option
 
This is mostly a mechanical kit that comes with well matched motors, drives and power supplies for optimal results.
 
You will require a CNC controller of some kind, some great options include our Australian Made Nighthawk controller (In standalone card format) or an AXBB-E controller. Reach out to our team regarding your requirements and we can definitely make some suggestions. The (None / BYO) controller bundle option does NOT include any limit switches or cabling. These can be added at a later stage.
 
Choosing the Nighthawk Bundle option
 
We have done our best to make things simpler for users. As such, we now have a Nighthawk controller bundle option that includes:
 
Standalone Nighthawk™ controller with stepper motor fly leads
Inductive limit switches
10m 4 core cabling for limit switches
10m Heavy duty 4 core shielded cable for stepper motors
 
It is recommended mount all of your drivers, Nighthawk and power supplies inside an electrically approved cabinet (not provided).
 
This is still a full on DIY kit but we prrovide almost everything you need to do it with the exclusion of any tools, connectors, general fasteners or sundries.
 
Limit switch placement
See photos at the top of listing for recommended limit switch placement. If you are unsure about placement, see the note below regarding getting in touch an engineering agency to add the limit switch mounts for you when the bed is machined.
 
You may require an additional power supply to power your controller, The Nighthawk standalone card accepts up to 60VDC input MAX. An AXBB-E supports up to a 24V input.

Please Note
The bed of your mill requires modification to make everything work as expected. You can either choose to do this yourself or reach out to an engineering company to make the relevant changes.
